STARCH PRODUCTION PLANT

STARCH PRODUCTION LINE

Starch, white, granular and organic chemical that is produced by all green plants. Starch is a soft and tasteless powder that is insoluble in cold water, alcohol, or other solvents.

Pure starch can then be modified by a chemical, physical or enzymatic process to create 'modified starches', each offering differing characteristics and used widely in the food, paper, textile, oil, adhesives, fermentation and pharmaceutical industries.

Chemical Process Plants produces starch production lines in different capacities and specifications and perform turnkey installations.

STARCH PRODUCTION PLANTS

Starch production plants will be designed specifically according to characteristics of raw materials to be used in production. Chemical Process Plants offers that covers the entire starch process in different adaptations for several starch sources.

All the specifications and requirements are taken into consideration and well implemented for designing starch process plants that meet varied demands in starch and its derivatives manufacturing units.

STARCH PRODUCTION MACHINERY

The selection and proper use of mechanical equipment in starch production lines are very important. To obtain correct and high-quality products, necessary calibrations should be followed both during the process and the out of the product. Although starch production lines seem complicated, it is actually very simple with good machines and equipments.

Chemical Process Plants delivers the whole range of equipments that are from cleaning, rasping and separation units, decanters to extraction column refiner, evaporator dryer for the starch processing industry from single machines to complete starch-processing plants successfully.

STARCH PRODUCTION PROCESS

  • First stage of production of starch utilizes a series of simple stages of physical separation of the components: crushing, sifting, centrifuging, etc. However the methods of manufacture are specific to each plant and the industrial tools are normally dedicated to a raw material.
  • In the second stage, the starch which has been extracted in its purest form, will be used as it is after drying (this is called “native starch”) or it will be further processed, undergoing various transformations aiming either at modifying its performance (“modified starch”) or to obtain sweeteners through the process of hydrolysis.
  • One of the highlighted aspect of starch processing / extraction is that starch is produced according to the requirement of the end users depending upon changing reaction conditions (temperature, pH and additives) and strict process control methods.
