POLYOL PRODUCTION PLANT

POLYOL PRODUCTION LINE

Polyols are compounds with multiple hydroxyl functional groups available for organic reactions. Polyol is one of the major components in polyurethane production.

Polyurethanes are produced by reacting the polyols with isocyanates in the presence of suitable catalysts and additives. Polyols are also known as sugar alcohols because part of their chemical structure resembles sugar, and part of it resembles alcohol.

Chemical Process Plants produces polyol production lines in different capacities and specifications and perform turnkey installations.

POLYOL PRODUCTION PLANTS

Polyol production plants will be designed specifically according to usage area of required product such as, PU waste materials, PET / PSA, polyesters such as PLA and PHB, as well as bio monomers. All the specifications and requirements are taken into consideration and well implemented from development all the way through to plant commissioning.

Chemical Process Plants builds their clients comprehensive, highly professional customer support with benefits of ecologically-sustainable production cycle, production of high quality polyols and lower disposal costs.

POLYOL PRODUCTION MACHINERY

The selection and proper use of mechanical equipment in polyol production lines are very important.

In the design of required equipments and machineries that are included stainless steel reactor, blender, neutralization vessel, filtration system and storage & weighing tanks that contains from initiator preparation to storage of whole polyol process, active measures are specified to shut down hazardous situations from suppressing runaway reactions to safe especially in the temperature control of the reactors.

To obtain correct and high-quality products, necessary calibrations should be followed both during the process and the out of the product.

POLYOL PRODUCTION PROCESS

  • Polyols can be synthesized through transesterification of vegetable oils with other polyols or alcohols, producing fatty acid polyol mono- and di-esters.
  • Polyols results from the reaction of an organic oxide and an initiator (or starting polyol), which have one or more active hydrogen atoms. In the presence of a basic catalyst, the active hydrogen starts to open the ring of the added oxide. This reaction is extended to reach the desired molecular weight.
  • With designed of appropriate process equipments of polyols production includes through all processes required to initiator preparation, reaction, neutralization, filtration, drying.
