MASTERBATCH PRODUCTION PLANT

MASTERBATCH PRODUCTION LINE

Masterbatch is the colorant in granule form, which gives the polymer its color during the melting and shaping of thermoplastic polymer. It is a concentrated mixture obtained by dispersing the pigment and additives into a polymer by means of a heat treatment.

White masterbatches are milk white, ice white, white goods white and other tones. Black masterbatches are bluish, brownish, transparent black and other tones. Color masterbatches are yellow, red, green, blue, all other intermediate colors and may be in all shades. In order not to have any problems in the color quality of the final product; the viscosity of the carrier polymer, a polymer higher than the viscosity of the polymer to be colored.

MASTERBATCH PRODUCTION MACHINERY

  • The most important elements in Masterbatch Production are quality raw material, homogeneous mixture and good dispersion. Color masterbatches are usually produced in two stages.
  • First, mono production is performed using a single pigment.
  • Masterbatch Production is done with extruder lines.
  • Color pigments and additives come to the extruder's feeding unit.
  • Materials are pulpified by screws and melted at high temperatures.
  • Cutter miller provides granular forms.
  • The final product is stored in bags and stored at the appropriate temperature.
